Bubaki is a creative design studio established in 2021. We design and build interactive experiences and we enable artists, designers and companies to realize their own creative ideas. We work with experts across fields of science, art, engineering and architecture and we are a core team of three.

J. Luis Berna Moya is a creative technologist working with ephemeral and multisensory technologies such as shape-shifting fog, bubble displays, programmable liquid metal, haptics, and acoustic levitation. With a PhD in Human Computer Interaction and expertise in digital fabrication and embedded systems, his work bridges innovative technology and experiential design. He is co-founder of Bubaki Design and a Lecturer at Limerick School of Art and Design in Combined Media and Sculpture.

Catherine Ireton is a multidisciplinary artist with an MA in Music and Sonic Media and a background in theatre and storytelling. For the past ten years she has designed and created interactive and immersive experiences for venues and festivals including the Shanghai International Arts Festival, Macau Fringe Festival and Seoul Central Railway Station, Korea.

John Ireton RIAI is a registered architect and designer with extensive experience developing technically robust concepts for public-facing environments. His work combines visual storytelling, material experimentation and hands-on making, allowing him to translate ideas into clear, buildable solutions. He has a strong background in environmental analysis, façade and lighting integration, and the design of engaging spatial experiences. For the past 15 years he has worked in Germany, Bali, UK and Ireland including four years with Foster + Partners.
